Edo State Covid19 house to house testing: Local women feel insecure, vows not to allow their families tested.

in what seems to be an uptight situation already amidst disturbing developments on the covid19 pandemic in Edo state, some local Edo women (community name and names of people involved withheld for safety reasons) upon hearing the news on the house to house testing wouldn’t help but register their displeasure as they protested within their  confines  (expressing hilariously with pidgin English) and ‘’vowing’’ not to take part nor allow any member of their household to undergo any testing for the virus.  One of them maintained that she and all her family members are doing okay and that none of them have gone anywhere (public) since the lockdown began also noting that it is not ‘’testing’’ they need, they need food while another expressed doubts  and fears as regards ‘’what’’ testing tool would be used on people during the test and  the fear of ‘contacting’ the virus through the testing process adding that she’s aware  (of what doctors say about staying at home even when showing mild symptoms) that even persons showing covid19 symptoms  should stay at home as they can recover at home without needing to go to the hospital  also remarking that it is their enemy that will contact corona virus and not her or any member of her household . Person 2: ‘’Na food person need, no be test, their testing abi wetin no concern me. Nobody even comot for house since na. Na no no no for me abeg’’

Person 1: (talking in between person 2): ‘’if person even sick sef say make dem go hospital, Doctor no go reject am?, dey go just dey do you like say person carry sick’’

Person 2(again): ‘’Shebi they even talk say if you sick, sidon for house, i just tire, na my elemy (enemy) na dem go cash (catch) corona (virus)’’.

Edo state has had its fair share with the struggle with covid19 monster alongside the rest of the world one reason for what would have prompted the Monday 20^th April announcement and media broadcast of the house to house testing for the corona virus by the Edo state government commencing  Wednesday  22^nd April 2020 in addition to the newly imposed 10 day curfew, it can be generally accepted that citizens of the state are beginning to get uncomfortable with  the recent developments in the state as regards the novel virus. Life has been somewhat stalled everywhere and citizens of the state crying out in discontent.

The Governor has told Channels Tv earlier this week that he has spent a very huge sum of money to the tune of 1billion naira on the covid19 case so far. Edo state citizens and staylites are praying and hopeful that the curve flattens soon enough
